Do you remember the Pat Sloan quilt?
It's been a while since I posted about any of my adventures in quilting. I did manage to finish the Pat Sloan called Main Street.
I don't currently have a picture of it as the weather where I live here in Alabama has not been the best to take pictures. I like to take pictures of my quilts outside for aesthetic reasons, of course.
I am going to try to blog more this year. (I say that every year!) We'll see how it goes. Somehow, something always gets in the way. Maybe I can at least remember to blog once per week, maybe?
Until next time...

Plant Hobby Newbie
Is there any of my viewers/readers who are plant hobbyists? I recently acquired some sort of ficus plant from my grandmother's funeral. She passed away on May 21st, 2019, one day after my 33rd birthday. I didn't blog about it as I didn't want to steer this blog away from what I intended for it to be: a hobby blog.
So, back on topic... I decided after acquiring this ficus plant that I wanted to dive into the plant hobby. Since then, I have acquired several plants. (Yes, all within less than a month!) So, this post is an introduction into another topic for this blog. PLANTS.
Do you like/love plants? Let me know in the comments. I will be sharing more later on.

Quilt Along: Pat Sloan - Main Street - Block #2 - "Post Office"
Wednesday, June 12, 2019 was the release of the 2nd block from Pat Sloan's quilt-a-long. I completed my block that day. This block was really quick and easy to put together. I can't wait to see what this quilt is going to look like when we are finished with it. This might be my favorite quilt-a-long she has done so far.
Come join the fun!

Quilt Along: Pat Sloan - Main Street - Block #1 "5 & Dime"
Wednesday was the release of the first block of the quilt along that I follow hosted by Pat Sloan called Main Street.
Here is my finished block.
If you don't know who Pat Sloan is, please check out her site. You can also find her on Facebook at Quilt Along with Pat Sloan.
I enjoy doing these quilt-a-longs with her projects because I like the structure. You may be more of an independent quilter and of course, that's perfectly ok too! Comment below what type of quilter you are and why you prefer that kind of quilting!

Pat Sloan's Quilt Along - Main Street
Today, I started on Pat Sloan's newest quilt-a-long called Main Street. Each year I try to participate in each of her quilt-a-longs. She makes them so much fun and the end results are amazing. Now, I have never actually finished one of her projects (I'm still working on one from 2015 for Gods sake!) but, this year I am determined to complete at least one.
Now, for Main Street, I have picked out some really pretty fabric that I hope will turn into a beautiful quilt. I may even keep this one! All the other quilts I've ever made have been for gifts. Maybe it's high time I keep one for myself, ya think? All the fabrics I have chosen for this particular quilt-a-long are Waverly Inspirations screen prints.
This is the focus fabric that I chose for the Main Street quilt-a-long.
See why I can't wait to see the finished product!?! I am also almost finished with the Flower Bouquet which was her previous Wednesday quilt-a-long program. We are in the final stages of sewing the blocks together to create the quilt top. I am not too happy with mine so I don't know if I will show it on here or not.
I will however, be showing my progress for her Block of the Month for this year which is called Out of this World. Check that out if you're looking for something fun to do this year!
Now, on to other business...
When I am not quilting, I like to create other things such as baby related items. My specialty is carseat canopies. I also make baby bedding and boppy pillow covers. The pattern that I use most often to create my carseat canopies is the zippered canopy by Elizabeth Wyatt. I've found it is my favorite to do. I like the shape of it and how it falls over the carseats better than others that I have seen. It's also easy to convert without the zipper if preferred.
I just finished this carseat canopy for a friend. This one is the 2nd boy themed canopy that I've done and so far, I think it is my favorite. (Don't worry, you'll be seeing lots more carseat canopies!)

Slacker..
I failed at Blogmas 2018.
Got side-tracked & never got back on.
Here it is February and I have yet to get back on track.
I think my problem is content. I'm not sure of what to post or talk about.
I had thought to post sewing & quilting content because that's my thing.. it's what I do.
I might work on that.
Until next time...
